Aidpage Open Letter: Desperately Seeking Assistance

To the attention of:

Rick Scott, Governor of Florida;
------------------------------------

Like alot of American Citizens we are in desperate need of help. Every form of help is available except to the Middle Class hard working individuals that have fallen on a hardship and have never used or worked the system. I know people who have been on unemployment for 4 years and lives with their mother, they have no intention of looking for a job. I have nothing against extending unemployment to help those have lost their jobs. I hate people who take advantage of it. It would be wonderful to see an elected official who make more money than most hard working citizens take several individuals under their wing and help them out one time to get back on their feet. I get very angry when I read stories about women who need help with kids and have another on their way, hey there's condoms & birth control and I can bet shes receiving some kind of government help each month. I am ready to start working the streets to get the help I need here is my story. I am a single woman who filed bankruptcy without a lawyer 4and a half years ago, which has been a struggle and I now only have six months left. I recently had hardships beyond my control and had to use my payment money to the courts to fix my old car to get to work. I am looking for $2200 to catch me up and be able to finish my bankruptcy. I would pay this money back after the bankruptcy. The only thing in my bankruptcy is my home and medical bills for third degree burns I acquired by helping my 70 yr old neighbors out. I have no credit card debt, I worked 3 jobs for 5 years to pay 35,000.00 in credit cards after my divorce. I recently had two jobs and lost one because of the economy. When I was making good money I always helped others and paid it forward many times. I am not a user. My family can't help they are in no position to help, in fact once my bankruptcy is finished I plan on helping my mom out who is in her late 70's on SSI and giving again. Any assistance would be a blessing at this hour of need. I have come too far to give up now. That is my story I have been searching for a second job but I can guarantee it is my age when they make you fill in your birthdate, I am a young 58 yr old who can do circles around most young people today. I hope one of you will find it in your heart to assist me this one time which would put me back on track to finish my bankruptcy. I live very modestly and not beyond my means. God Bless America. I bring home approx 1200.00 a month and pay 1142.00 to the courts.
